The reference is a paramount section of a thesis proposal. It is a list of all the resource materials of your data. Writing the references section is a predominant approach to combating with plagiarism. The following are nuggets of wisdom that you must apply when writing a thesis proposal:
  • Cite all the ideas, concepts, text, data that are from a different author
  • List all the references cited in your thesis statement

  •  Use an alphabetical order to list all your references in the text
The following are some types of formatting that you may consider to implement in writing your references:
  •   Cite single-author references by the surname of the author followed by date of publication
  •  Cite double –author references by the surname of both authors
  • Cite more than double –author references by the surname of the first author followed by the rest of the authors
